Western Extremes and Tuchodi Outfitters Elk Hunt
Posted by Darrell under: Elk; Noteworthy Video; Guides - Tips, Ideas, & Info .
I recently watched an episode of Western Extremes for a Tuchodi River Outfitters elk hunt. It was incredible! On the show, Larry Warren, Tuchodi’s owner, called in Bull after Bull, until a beautiful 6×6 was finally taken by Western Extremes camera man - Andy.
Andy started off with his bow, but changed to a rifle because of the density of the foliage. It appeared, however, that bow archery shots would be very feasible - especially for a hunter that is looking for a nice 6×6 and not trying to shatter the record books.
After watching this episode of Western Extreme (which for the record is one of my favorite hunting shows on the outdoor channel) I found myself looking up Tuchodi River Outfitters on the Internet. Their place looks awesome. They are located in British Columbia’s Northeast Rocky Mountains and have 4 million huntable acres at their disposal.
Their young son participates in some of the hunts - which would be a great experience for my young son! Needless to say, I want to go on one of these hunts. I’ll contact Larry for pricing and availability and keep you informed on whether I’m eventually able to pull it off or not.
I can’t personally recommend Tuchodi, as I’ve never personally hunted with them. However, for anyone in the research stage of booking an elk hunt, I’d highly suggest checking into Tuchodi River Outfitters. If you get the opportunity, watch the Western Extreme episodes featuring Tuchodi.
