May 20, 2007 - 7 Days to Alaska

Posted by Darrell under: Alaska; My Journal .

What I Did Today To Prepare:

I shot my bow and shot my bow some mor! I have my new extreme 5 pin sight sighted in from 20yds to 60yds and draw weight dialed up to 70# and I’m shooting like crazy. I packed everything I have together to make sure I have room. I made a list of stuff to buy once I arrive in

Juneau Alaska:

Here is my list of stuff to buy in Juneau:

  • .44 Magnum heavy loads
  • Hunting & Fishing Licenses (bear, wolf, fish)
  • Sunscreen
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste and Toothbrush
  • Anti-Bacterial Soap
  • Rain Gear and Boots (per guide’s instructions)
  • Shampoo and Soap (for boat)
  • Aloe in case sunscreen doesn’t work

Only 7 days left! Today, I bought a bow sling ($20) and a pair of redhead binocular shoulder straps ($25). I went ahead and splurged for camo and had to pay $5 more for them. Getting close to having everything I need, which is good because my trips to Bass Pro and Cabellas, not to mention the stuff I’ve been buying online is about to break me!

I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.

I am so happy to read this. This is the type of manual that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that is at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this greatest doc.
