Boys and Snakes
Posted by Darrell under: Missouri .
My son has no fear of snakes. He has been intrigued by snakes since he was quite small. In fact, even when he was a toddler he would gladly grab a snake if he was ‘lucky’ enough to encounter one. Now that he is older (and should be smarter) his first inclination is to grab a snake when he sees it.
I took the picture below at Bull Shoals Lake this summer. My dad has a cabin at Theodosia and we were down for a couple days of fishing. Fortunately, Caleb was able to catch more than a wad of snakes!

Nice bucket mouth! He can come along on my fishing trips and clear the path for me if he really likes snakes so dang much! I could do without snakes, for sure!

Now their is some diversity: snake catching and bass catching.
I don’t really have a fear of snakes, but I definitely don’t go out of my way to pick one up either.

He’s braver than I am. You’d never catch me holding a snake!
