An Awesome Job for An Outdoorsman (or Outdoorswoman)

A few days ago I received an email from someone at Bonnier Corporation about a job opening they had. The job position is online editor of OutdoorLife.com! Pretty exciting. Outdoor Life being my favorite magazine and all. Unfortunately, I’m not in a position to pursue a job like this one so I thought I’d post the details and a link to the application.
Several of my outdoor blogging peers would be perfect for this position. For instance, I could definitely see Kristine Shreve, Matt Coughlin, Bryan, and several others of you in this position. It is a great opportunity, so if you know someone that is a match, please email them and let them know. Just think about how much good you could do for the outdoors and possibly the blogging community in general in this position.
The HR recruitment manager at Bonnier Corporation stated “This position we have is more of a ‘how can you drive web site traffic’ type of a position. Heavy on the marketing side and light on the writing side. We would need this person to be located in our NY office full time as they interact all the time with the sales, marketing and creative teams here.”

too bad it’s an in-office position in New York, it sounds like an awesome position! I’d be happy to take one of those cumbersome outfitted hunting trips too.

Wow, it sounds interesting. The only thing I would miss would be the writing, that’s the part I’d really love. It certainly would be an opportunity to have an influence on the outdoor community though. How cool would that be.
Hmm… I may have to give this some thought.

Sounds like a great job for someone in the Out Door Blogger community.
If they could stand being a part of the huge in town sea of people and 24/7 way of life…Willing to commute. That is how I envision NY anyway.

That would be my Dream job though I am definitely not the most qualified person out there for the job. I am interested in learning more about the position. I love New York and love the outdoors far more. Maybe in about 5 years when I have built my site into the empire I have planned for it.
