A Picture Of The Big Cat! Is it a Giant Bob Cat?
Posted by Darrell under: Noteworthy Pictures .
A couple weeks ago, my friend Jeff and I saw a big cat while turkey hunting. This cat was bigger than my mature chocolate lab and bigger than Jeff’s german shepherd. I have never even saw a bobcat before so I would have no clue. Wish I could help. It is one big cat whatever it is!

I’ve got no idea. It looks kind of like it has tufted ears. I’m guessing it wouldnt’ be a lynx, because I don’t think they’re native to your part of the country. I could be wrong about that though.

Yes, sir. That is a Bobcat. The southern part of Missouri is supposed to have an abundant population of the cats which is growing northward. Iowa has even gotten a hunting season for them now. They are rare catches to the camera lense, very sly creatures. Good cellphone picture.
