Hunting Pigs In Oklahoma
Posted by Darrell under: Gun; Pig; By Location .
In February of 2007, five friends and I went to Oklahoma for a little pig hunting. We all had a blast! Billy was the first to score a pig and, of course, he was the only one of us that was hunting with a bow. We were all using radios and we heard pretty quickly about his pig. I was second and harvested a nice 120lb colorful sow. You couldn’t ask for any better eating!
By day end, all six of us had harvested pigs and I was fortunate enough to harvest two. The following day, back in Missouri, we spent the afternoon processing our meat at my house. We all have lots of wild pork to get us through the rest of the year.
We’ve found a couple great ways to prepare the meat and I’ll posts some ideas later. If you haven’t ever had the opportunity to pig hunt, I highly recommend it. Pigs are a lot of fun - and mean, mean, mean!
Don’t forget to check out my pictures from this exciting pig hunt!

I’m starting pig hunting this coming season for a change. After reading your post, I just can’t wait to go hunting those wild pigs myself pretty soon.
Thanks,
Mike

well, pigs and turkeys to be exact… kinda like taking a new course for a buck hunter like me.
