Game Log: October 19 (Evening), Stand 11D Valley
Posted by Darrell under: Game Log .
Location: Stand 11D Valley
Temperature: High 60’s
Wind: SW 5-10 MPH (Gusting 15-20mph from N/NW) died at 6:00
Time: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Field Notes: 5:20 several turkey (saw a couple nice gobblers) came in from NW. Spent 10 minutes at about 40 yards (to NW) from stand and then headed directly East. Roosted around 6:30 about 100 yards away. 6:15 doe came from NW and headed directly east. Winded me about 20 yards NE of stand and headed back to NW. Lots of easy shots. 6:40 Four Pt Buck came in from NW and circled stand. Stopped on SE side at 10 yards for a couple minutes. Headed NE. 6:45 Doe came in from Northeast and crossed about 30 yards North of stand heading directly West. 6:50 2 Does came from SE, scented me and headed back to SE. 6:55 Large Raccoon circled stand at 10 yards. Scented me but couldnt find me.
Other Notes: This stand faces SE. Most of the critters came in from NW (directly behind stand). Wind was blowing too hard to hear. I wonder how many I didn’t see cross? The funny thing is that I’ve been virtually skunked by my game cameras at this stand, yet I saw several turkey and five deer this evening. Lesson: Be careful putting too much trust in a game camera!

I enjoy this site given and this has given myself a few sort of desire to succeed for some reason, so thanks.
