Time: 7:20 am to 9:00 am
Field Notes: 8:05 Big Gobbler walked by at 20 yards. Shot him. Saw several other turkeys so stayed put. 8:45 Big Gobblers started filing by at about 30 yards. Shot another.
Other Sightings: 7:10 am Doe and 4pt Buck at Camp Road exact same place as seen 3 does on the 15th a little after 10:00 am. Does it mean something? Has this spot became a major crossing area?

is turkey season and deer season at the same time there, and can you take more than one per day? Sounds like a heck of a hunting season.

REx, You’ve got that right! Today was my first day of hunting turkey with firearm this season. But, yes, turkey firearm season runs concurrently with archery deer and turkey seasons. You just can’t do both at same time. But, you can, as I will, go turkey hunting in the AM with a gun and deer and turkey hunting in the evening with a bow! AND, you can take two turkeys on the same day - only in the Fall! I hadn’t thought that this might be alot different from some other states so I’ll post Missouri’s seasons tomorrow.

Wow! sounds like you need a turkey and deer eradication program with that many turkey and deer roaming around.

Our fall turkey and archery deer season overlap each other as well, but we can only take one turkey. Sounds like a blast though!

Sounds like a good day. I sense some roasted (or is it deep fried) turkey in your future.
