Thanks For Standing Up & Being Counted
Posted by Darrell under: Blog Marketing 101 .
Remember this guy? Months ago I asked for everyone’s help in defending the sanctity of our lifestyle. I asked for your help in proving that hunting is more interesting than marketing.
Thanks for your support. The links and comments I’ve received have been amazing. My previously non-believing marketing aquaintenances are now believers. As my readership and support has grown, they have come to realize that people really do care about the outdoors and hunting specifically.
My hunting blog did not beat my friend’s marketing blog in the number of views, links, or technorati ratings. However, even he has to admit that my readers have heart. The quality of comments and links surpasses anything his site has experienced. In fact, the discussions that have started and the feelings of cameraderie between readers has spurred him to make some changes.
So, thanks again for the support. I hope you continue to read my blog and let your voices be heard.
Happy hunting!

Your blog may not have the quantitative stats of your friend’s (yet!), but it’s clearly captured the attention of a lot of loyal readers. I’ve been really, really impressed by the combination of outdoors information, humor, and “hot topic” issues that are all addressed here, which is why Alpha Trilogy remains on my list of online sites that I read daily. Keep up the great work!

I’d almost forgotten about the original challenge. I just keep coming back because there’s a lot of good information here. You also make me think and I always like that.
(Plus, of course there are your stellar guest writers. Who wouldn’t want to read what they write?) ![]()

I think I joined the blogosphere after you presented the challenge. Glad to hear it’s working out okay for you. Did you tell your friend that there’s a marketing expert in the world of outdoor blogging?

Well shoot, I feel as though I didn’t do my part as I found your site just recently. This site is still a winner in my book as it captures my attention. That’s a pretty good compliment considering I’ve seen chipmunks with a longer attention span.

This truly is one of the greatest communities around(the hunting community)! Glad to see we could at least prove our value to your buddy! Keep up the great work!

Before I retired I was involved in marketing for years and I can assure everyone that hunting and blogging are much, much more fun!
