Skinny Moose Media Launches Skinny Moose Radio
Well, as most of you know by now, Skinny Moose Media is now in the radio business. There have been several posts about the radio format and shows including posts by Tom Remington, Moose, and Steve. I want to offer a hearty congratulations to Steve and Tom for what is sure to be another medium for shedding a positive light on the outdoors. Plus, it will be a lot of fun to listen to.
Internet Safety: Does Blogging Put Our Families At Risk?
Matt Coughlin at Bright Ideas Outdoor Weblog did a tremendous amount of research to compose this hard hitting article. Anyone that uses the Internet should read his ‘findings’. We should all be aware of the dangers that surround us. Before I take a hunting trip, I educate myself on the potential dangers. We should all do the same before embarking on a virtual journey.
Hunting Leases: Input From a Landowner
It seems that most hunters complain about the proliferation of hunting leases and how they are damaging our hunting heritage. Bryan, at deerphd, posted this article that looks at some of the benefits of hunting leases - not just benefits to the landowner, but even benefits to us ‘non-leasing’ hunters, such as: protected deer habitat. I must commend Bryan for looking at this issue from outside the tunnel.
7 ‘Old School’ Deer Rifles That Can Still Bring Home the Venison
My first deer rifle was a Marlin 336 30/30 and after reading Don’s article I remembered that I haven’t kicked myself lately for getting rid of it. So, even though my backside is sore, I recommend taking a look at this list of some great old rifles. It’s almost that time of the year!

Thanks, Darrell, for your gracious comments re: the leasing post. It can be quite a controversial issue. Thanks also for pointing us to these other great posts!

I think the radio gig is going to be a great thing for the outdoors. Looking forward to hearing it.
