Choosing A Logo - I Need Your Input

I’m trying to decide on a new logo for my blog. I’ve narrowed it down to three possibilities. Please let me know what you think of each:

Logo A:

Logo B:

Logo C:

Please let me know your thoughts on these three logos. What do they make you think of and which is the best representation of my site? I GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY INPUT!

Personally, I’m partial to the first one. Very clean looking and nice. That one is my vote.

my vote is for A. i liked the cross hairs dot from C, the typeface on B isn’t for me, A wins it.

Thanks for the votes Arthur, Bryan and SB. Welcome to my blog, btw, SB! I’m leaning towards A, too. My only concern is that it will bleed when printed.

Bryan, I only wish I was talented enough to design them. A really talented lady in the office did them for me - along with all the ones I use on my posts. She is really good!

I’m a big fan of C - it has good action and the crosshair for the .com is awesome! They all look good, though - and A would probably be my second pick.

A’s got my vote too. Clean, bold and eye-catching.

I look at a lot of hunting logos, and C is definately my favorite. I like the action in it as well as the fact that you can read the entire Alpha Trilogy name. In my opinion, the deer head sticking into the A in both a/b choices is distracting for some reason.
I also wanted to say hello and that I liked your site. I have added you to my blogroll. Please let me know if that is OK.

I like A myself. It’s clean and will reproduce well in a variety of sizes. That’s one thing you should always do before creating a new logo, make sure it will reproduce well if it is small and if it is large.

They had the current GSI logo in place before I got here, and it drives me crazy. It does not reproduce well in smaller sizes, which is a problem when you want to place it on the web. We’re probably going to replace it at some point, just haven’t gotten to that yet.

Apparently I seriously in the minority by voting for B, but I’m going to do it anyway! I like the white outline around the buck on B vs. no outline on A. And I liked C except that it puts the crosshairs on the shoulder. If you could get the cross hairs back a bit, then that would be my vote.

Wow, thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

A and C are close to being tied, thanks in large part to Mandy’s animate votes and to Kaylynne for putting in her two cents worth. I’m just wondering if Mandy might have put Kaylynne up to voting? BTW Mandy, watch for tomorrow’s post. It will explain WHY I need a logo anyway and it is going to be something you appreciate. Thanks Kaylynne and Mandy for your votes! Evonna will undoubtedly appreciate your comments, too.

Dana, I’m going to have a version of A with the white outline done to look at and see if the crosshairs on C can be moved back to right behind the front shoulder. Thanks for the input.
