The Whitetail Wizard Gives An Awesome Deer Blind Stand Tip!

As I was browsing around the internet viewing many of my favorite outdoor blogs I came upon a blog that was new to me - Whitetail Wizard. You may already be familiar with this blog, but it was new to me. The site, by Claude Pollington, was a little difficult to navigate as the post titles weren’t links. I wanted to leave a comment, but got an error whenever I tried. However, the content on this blog is outstanding! It quickly made my Internet’s Best list.
The latest post (from June 14) is titled NAME THE BEST WINTER BLIND. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out a way to link directly to the post. However, the information is outstanding. It is all about hay bale blinds. If you hunt deer on private land and haven’t read this (or aren’t familiar with hay bale blinds) you’ve got to read this story.
Hay-bale blinds just might be the perfect blind (providing your not allergic to hay). They cover your scent and keep you warm and dry - not to mention that the deer might come and EAT your blind. How cool is that!

I like the Whitetail Wizard blog too, but like you said it is a difficult blog to navigate and get to information.
I have been using hay bales for many years. They work great as blinds. Also farm equipment that some farmers “park” in the field over winter makes great blinds.

Claude Pollington is from Michigan, as is Dave Richey, another great outdoor writer. Both appear to use the same platforms for their blogs. I would agree, they’re hard to navigate and use. Good content though. Dave Richey, in particular, has written some amazing stuff.

Good idea like the blind stand setup but what do you do when you go to shot from the angle of the photograph there are no slots to aim the gun out of
