What Does A Lake Look Like Beneath The Surface? VIDEO and PICTURES

Lots of people ask me what the lake looks like underneath the surface. Many people, even accomplished divers, have some kind of trepidation about diving in lakes. I love it. Visibility isn’t like diving the Caribbean, but you still never know what you might see (like a giant turtle). On my last spearfishing trip, I took several pictures underwater and actually took a video while spearfishing. I didn’t find any fish to shoot, so I eventually settled on a sunfish to show how the entire process works. And, YES, I did clean and we will eat that sunfish!
On my next spearfishing trip, I’ll probably follow someone (with my video until they take a nice fish. This will be good to show what speargun hunting is really like.

That’s pretty neat. Never seen spearfishing done live like that. That was interesting to watch. If I had to do that I’d be hitting rocks or the next diver beside me and not the fish. I have terrible aim… thanks for sharing that, I enjoyed it!

spearfishing is a great sport and a easy way to put food on the table too. Even though I have never tried the sport it looks fun but I spect it takes a while to learn to dive and hit your target. I’ve never seen the sport done around here( Tennessee) but they say there are alot of really big catfish down around the dams around here. This is my first visit to your site and I really enjoyed it so I’ll be back. Can I add your site to mine?

This video is AWESOME. The anticipation is great … I literally jumped when the speargun fired, even though I was expecting it. The sound is kind of unnerving, but somehow adds a cool element.
Anyway, I love it! And nice aim …
